What is MentalHealthCampToronto?

MentalHealthCampToronto is a day for us to share, discuss, learn, and exchange ideas with others who are interested, affected, involved, passionate and curious about how we could better support and engage with those living with mental health issues.

How did MentalHealthCampToronto start?

In Toronto, MentalHealthCamp grew out of HealthCamp held locally this year. HealthCamp is a grass-roots world-wide movement where patients, physicians, health care professionals , administrators and other interested people meet together to discuss how to rebuild health care on a participatory model using social media and open web and mobile technologies. Our colleagues out in Vancouver, who held the first MentalHealthCamp, have been a great support.

Who Should Attend?

Whether you're a person with mental health issues yourself, a family member, mental health professional, health care provider, bureaucrat looking for new ideas or you just have an interest in the topic, please join us.

How Can You Participate?

We are excitedly looking for more participants, collaborators and enablers (in the positive sense of the word, of course). RSVP-ing to this will get you on the mailing list and put your name down in public as being interested in this event.

How Can You Help?

We are looking for a venue with WIFI for the event in Toronto, so please send along your suggestions. We will also need organizational help along the way to make this happen, so if you're interested, please indicate above by "purchasing" a ticket.
